Happy Thursday Loves! I told you I would be back with another edition of The Planner Lowdown! If you follow me on Instagram, then you most likely saw my IG Story right after Christmas. You know, it’s the one where I mentioned that I purchased a new Kate Spade handbag and when I got home my happy planner did not completely fit inside. I know, the struggle! LOL I tried to eyeball every single bag I looked at and I swear for a split second I wish that I had measured the damn planner before I left the house. Exaggerated much? Yeah I know!
I’m guessing that now I need to start carrying one of these LMAO
LOL anyway before I go any further….
let me just clarify a little something something. I purchased the deluxe cover for my classic happy planner because I love the extra pockets and storage. If I take it out of the cover, it would definitely fit in the handbag but that defeats the initial purpose of it. When I walked into the Kate Spade outlet, it was with the intention of buying a smaller handbag in an effort to carry less everyday to and from work. The handbag/tote was 70% off so there’s no way I was going to return it lol
that brings me to my next point. A little bonus of having extra planners around is that you can easily just switch right back into them. In the past year, I have sold a few of the other extras because I knew that I would never use them again. One thing I knew for sure is that I was keeping my black Filofax Patent personal planner. I purchased it from Amazon a couple of years ago. It’s seriously just the simplest yet classiest planner. So guess what I will be using as my everyday planner! The happy planner will stay at home to serve as a master planner.
*I could not find a link for the black patent planner however the nude one is stunning!
So onto my next dilemma……
now that I have decided to switch back into the Filofax, this meant that I had to purchase new inserts as the old ones have since expired (2016). I needed to figure out something because I was ready to get back on the No Spend path. I wanted to try something new so obviously I went straight to Marlene’s shop on Etsy! First of all, let me just say that I cannot believe that it has already been three years since I met her via the planning community so Happy Friend-a-versary Girlfriend! ♥
Way back Wednesday fun fact: The very first inserts that I ever used from Marlene’s shop were digital downloads (you would purchase them in her shop but you have to print them out yourself).
Now she sells printed inserts in so many different styles for various types of planners (Personal, A5 & Traveler Notebooks).
Here are the new printed inserts that I ordered for the Filofax.
OMG the paper is smooth like butter LITERALLY!
Monthly Inserts | Awesome monthly view at a glance
Week on Two Pages Inserts – I ♥ this! Quick weekly view at a glance = Perfect!
Monthly Bill Tracker Insert – You already know! Just call me the No Spend Queen! #justsayin’
Shopping List Insert – Perfect for me because well I always forget something lol
Simple lined notes insert – I’ve reached the point where I need to write everything down before I forget.
As I stated above, the happy planner will stay on home on my desk for reference and for other purposes. Now that I have these amazing inserts in the Filofax, I have everything I need right at my fingertips and they are perfect to have for quick reminders, to do lists, etc. If you have never checked out Marlene’s shop before, you definitely have to as she also creates dashboards, dividers, folders and more!
