Hi everyone! We’re already in the middle of July and it has been hot here in Connecticut. A few months ago, I said that I would be blogging more but things get hectic and I just don’t get a chance to sit down and do it. Not much has changed since my last blog post but I figured I’d hop on and update you all on a few things.
The highlight of our summer
The most important event that took place last month is that my son graduated from high school. He had his prom the week before and before I knew it, he was crossing the stage to receive his diploma. It was a really nice ceremony as each of the teachers gave a very short speech about the students. I can’t believe I have a high school graduate like I am still in shock. When I started this blog, he was halfway through his last year of middle school. My mom, grandmother and my aunt who is Manny’s godmother traveled here to be with us on this big day.
The day after, we all got together for lunch at our favorite restaurant and it was really nice. A couple of days later, he went back to Florida with his grandmother to spend a week down there with her. He’s back home now and in a little over a month, he will be starting his freshman year of college. It is surreal to say the least.
Let’s see what else….
Oh yeah, no more planners for me. Yes, you read that correctly! I am over it. If you’ve been following me for a while now, I bet you never thought you would ever see the day when I would stop talking about planners and all things planner related. It’s ok, you can let out a sigh of relief as I am certain that it was boring to read about LOL. Truthfully, things just got so hectic I started using the Google App on my phone and never even cracked the planner open at all.
Hanging out at the lake…
About two months ago, I heard about a lake around thirty minutes from my house. After living in CT for half of my life and living in a town not far from it, I had never heard of it before. It is a rather large lake with a small sectioned off area for swimming and sand to park my sunchair and enjoy the view. I purchased a season pass and have gone a few times already. I pack a small cooler with some water, grapes, and watermelon and I’m good to go.
What’s New you ask?
Well you will just have to stick around to find out. It was sometime around March when I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase something that I have been wanting for… well quite some time. I don’t want to give it up just yet but that is also the reason that I haven’t been writing much as I have been super busy learning how to use it. Stay tuned as today I will be creating a separate page here on my blog to share exactly what it is and what I have been up to. I’ll give you a little hint though…..it’s time to vinyl and create all the things LOL.
Until next time…..
