Happy Wednesday and First Day of Winter! Here’s a quick update of some things that are currently going on in my world. First of all, I cannot believe that Christmas is less than a week away. This girl is going to exhale and then turn on my email auto reply at work because today is my last day until the new year. I still have a few things to do before Sunday so thankfully I will have plenty of time. We woke up last Saturday morning to snow and we ended up with about four inches. I definitely got my workout on because I have two calluses on my hand from shoveling my driveway.
Saturday was the perfect “Netflix & Chill” day. After I finished with the snow, I literally did absolutely nothing but relax on my couch and do some laundry in between episodes. Right now, I am watching Gilmore Girls. I started watching the entire series again because sadly I cannot remember anything about how it ended. Right now, I am in the middle of the fifth season of which there are seven total. The plan is to watch the new season during Christmas break.
I did the grocery first thing Sunday morning and then I went to Target with Manny. I had to get some gift boxes and grab a few things for the house and back home we went. I wrapped the rest of the gifts, made dinner and guess how the night ended? If you guessed back on the couch, then you are absolutely right! I caught up on “This is Us” and Leah Remini’s Scientology documentary series, and some more Gilmore Girls.
During one of the episodes, Rory walked over to her desk and opened her planner to show her mom something. I said “OMG, Rory is a planner girl too!” I paused the show, took a picture of my TV screen and I had to post it on Snapchat.
If you follow me on Snapchat, then you know I love coffee just as much as Loralei Gilmore! So naturally when I see a cute shirt or sweater that says something pertaining to coffee, I have to buy it.
Here are two sweaters that I recently purchased at Target
Another lesson that I recently learned is that the next time I see something I like at either TJ Maxx or Marshall’s, I need to buy it right then and there. About a month ago, I saw this cute jacket at TJ Maxx. They only had it in an extra small and I didn’t think that it would fit. I soon regretted not trying it on because the next time I went, I couldn’t find it at all. I drove to my nearest Marshall’s and what do you know? I found it but it was the same size. I had a hooded sweatshirt on and I didn’t feel like taking it off so I tried on the jacket over the sweater and it fit! The best part besides finding the jacket was that the price was already marked down from the first time I saw it. I paid $96 for it and the original TJ Maxx price was $129 (The North Face original price is $199).
To all of my planner friends & family
I know that you will get a kick out of this one. I went to Michael’s with my son to pick up some holiday decorations and holy door buster sales! There were literally sale signs on top of sale signs on everything planner related. I have been trying to behave and pass on the mini happy planner but then I saw it in person and I couldn’t help it. I had a 20% off your entire purchase coupon so these three beauties somehow ended up in my hands. It is so much smaller than I thought and from what it appears in pictures. I can’t wait to start using it for the new year.
Merry Christmas to me! LOL
Well I hope that you all enjoyed this quick little life update. I am so ready to enjoy my stay-cation at home. On Monday, we are planning to go to our local outlet mall because the after Christmas sales are amazing. I hope to meet up with my uncle for coffee since he lives in that area. The rest of the week I will be home relaxing and doing some blog stuff.
I’ve made it a goal of mine to actually do some organizing around the house everyday. If I can tackle one room a day, I will be a happy girl and I won’t feel so bad for watching Netflix the majority of the time! Are you ready for the holidays? Do you have anything special planned?
Happy Holidays & May you all have a wonderful & Bless New Year!
Here are my tips on you can start the New Year by giving back to those in need.
