Hi Loves! I promised to give you all an update regarding my skincare routine so here it goes. I have made a few changes in my routine since my last blog post in regards to cleansers, makeup remover wipes and moisturizer. It has been approximately two months since I began using the Clarisonic Mia. Up until three weeks ago, I started using the Clarisonic once a day because I noticed that my skin became more dry when I was using it twice daily.
I also stopped using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser, Eucerin moisturizing lotion and Target’s brand UP and UP make up remover wipes simply because I wanted to try something new. I went to Target and after browsing around looking at different products, I decided to purchase Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, Garnier Clean Soothing Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes and Target’s Up and Up brand dupe for Neutrogena’s Oil Free Moisture SPF 15 lotion.
My current skincare routine is as follows:
At night before I get ready for bed, I remove my makeup with a Garnier Makeup Removing towelette and I then apply the face moisturizer.
Each morning after I shower while my face is still wet, I apply a dime sized amount of the Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Cream Cleanser and lather it all over my face at which point I use the Clarisonic in circular motions to really get the cleanser into my skin. Many of you are probably wondering why I don’t just apply the cleanser directly to the brush head. That’s a good question. The answer is because when I turn the Clarisonic on, the cleanser slides right off and ends up in the sink therefore wasting product (well at least that is what has happened to me).
The end result is that up until this point, I am loving each of the new products that I have tried and thankfully I have not encountered any skin irritation as of yet. I love that the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser leaves my face feeling so clean and refreshing whereas I did not get that result when I was using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser.
I hope that you all enjoyed my skincare routine and Clarisonic update. I would definitely still recommend the Clarisonic Mia to anyone who may be thinking about purchasing one. Just a reminder, I purchased the Clarisonic Mia 1 and there are several other newer models available however it just depends on your preference and how much you are willing to spend.
